Hello everyone! I have missed blogging. I think about it all the time. I know this blog is about my birthday, but I am going to post a blog about a writing competition I was in and won. That is coming soon. Anyways, two days ago, I turned 29! My last hurrah of my twenties. I can do a recap of my roaring twenties next year.

My family and I traveled to Atlanta to spend a brief holiday weekend celebrating my birthday. I have to say, I enjoyed myself way more than I expected. I’m not really fond of traveling, although I am traveling a lot this year! The reason I’m not fond of traveling is because I’m a homebody and have major anxiety sleeping anywhere other than my own bed.
The first night, my family and I went to dinner in Buckhead, at a restaurant called Pappasittos Cantina. The wait was really long and meal arrived really cold. However, the servers brought me free dessert for my birthday, so I can’t complain too much!

For dinner, I had Chipotle Shrimp and rice and beans. Sadly, I didn’t get any pictures of it.

Actual Birthday! April 8th. I’m an Aries baby.

For my birthday, I wanted to go to the Georgia Aquarium. Little known fact, if you go on your birthday and you have a GA license, you can get in free: you will receive a free general admission ticket once you provide proof (a.k.a., your GA license). My family came with me and we had a blast! My sister was in class, she goes to law school in ATL, and she seen how much fun we were having and decided to skip class to come hang.

I could post the millions of pictures we took, but I think you all get the point! The new shark exhibit was one of our favorite explorations.
After we left the aquarium, we headed to a celebrity owned restaurant, Old Lady Gang, to have dinner. Kandi Burruss from the Real Housewives of Atlanta and the singing group Escape, owns this restaurant.

Once again, I did not get pictures of the food! It’s really hard to think about pulling out the camera when you’re hungry. I ordered some wings and a burger and some fries. The wings were spectacular. Chef’s kiss.
After dinner, we headed to my sister’s apartment, and ate cake. Fun fact: I share a birthday with my youngest sister. She is 5 years younger than me.

Honestly, this was one of the best birthdays I’ve had in a long time. I usually spend my birthdays in ATL, a tradition I started when I turned 24. However, the pandemic paused that tradition for the past two years. It was great to be back and a cherry on top to an amazing spring break.

Thank you for reading my 29th birthday blog. I appreciate all the love and support. Please leave me any questions or content suggestions you have in the comments below! xoxo.
