48 Hours in Chicago

Hello! It’s fall, and for the first time in a long time, I’m in the mood for this season. I’m watching fall vlogs. Last weekend, I had an outdoor movie night with my family and partner. This weekend I’m going horseback riding. So you can say I’m in the mood for cooler weather, drinking hot chocolate, and cozying up on the couch in from of a warm fire.

I began my journey at 12:30 a.m. on a Friday morning. My morning day was jam packed—getting to the shuttle, to the airport, and to Chicago. Funny story, my uncle spent 25 minutes trying to find me at the correct terminal. I was at a new terminal he had never been to.

Once I was settled, my family and I ate at this lovely Italian restaurant on the water. We shared a delicious pizza. That pizza was honestly the best New York style pizza I’ve ever had. I’ll catch the Chicago deep dish on my next trip!

Robert’s Pizza and Dough Company. This restaurant is on Streeterville.
I can’t get over these views. 💖
Little bumble bees buzzed around us during our tasty meal. 🐝

Robert’s Wings
These are the most amazing, delicious wings I’ve ever had in my life! They were super spicy. I could only eat a few. 😋
New York style pizza. We didn’t leave a crumb behind!

After lunch, my grandparents and I went on the Architecture River tour. I enjoyed it so much! The buildings were so impressive, and the host did an amazing job explaining all of the rich history of Chicago’s architecture, which inspired a lot of the structures across the country.

I had so much fun! 10/10 experience.

Gorgeous!
The original Chicago Tribune. They’ve since moved.

The next day, I spent some time in downtown Chicago. I had a blast! I did a little shopping, walked along Lakeshore Dr., and headed to a restaurant in Tinley Park.

My uncle’s wedding was incredible. I enjoyed it so much! His bride was gorgeous and everyone ended up having a great time.

A few hours after I left the wedding, I was on a flight back home! That was the most incredible 48 hours spent in Chicago.

Thank you for reading. See you all soon in my next blog!

Welcome! My name is Jasmen Victoria. I was born in the spring, down south, in the early nineties. My favorite color is pink. I prefer my solitude to being in the company of others; but, if you invite me out to eat or for walk in the park, I will be highly tempted to abandon my hermitage. Thank you for stepping inside the world of Jasmen for a moment. Enjoy your stay. <3
